Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and displays its results. Clay County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, the message may be retained so a response can be prepared. It is kept within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may collect routine technical and usage details:

- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring website, when available
- Date and time of each page request
Cookies and Analytics

No Court-Record Data on File
Clay County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Clay County case records or personal docket information. It publishes reference material about official records held by the Clay County Circuit Clerk, Circuit and District Courts, municipal courts, Probate Court, and Alabama search systems. Access to those official records is governed by Alabama Code § 36-12-40, the Alabama Court-Record Privacy and Confidentiality Rules, and applicable court orders and statutes. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search tools embedded on some pages. Information submitted through a tool is handled under that company's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices. Those practices are outside our control. Review the provider's terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Alabama courts, the Clay County Circuit Clerk, statewide portals, legal-aid resources, and commercial search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's policy governs the visit. Advertising providers may also use their own systems to measure activity across websites for targeted advertising.

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
